Carly Francis graduated from The University of Michigan in April 2018 with a BFA in Art and Design and a minor in Art History. Throughout her life, Carly immersed herself in art programs and projects that encouraged bold experimentation in all media. Carly begins all her projects by researching a meaningful and personal concept which is expressed through illustrating, 3D modeling, or fabric. Her portfolio is both varied and compelling. In addition to challenging courses, Carly became the art director of the University of Michigan humor magazine, Gargoyle.

​During her college summers, Carly worked in the creative departments at well-known successful cosmetic companies. In 2017, she interned at Glow Recipe, a K-beauty company, as a Visual Content Intern. In 2016, Carly interned in the creative department at Estée Lauder's NYC headquarters where she learned the intricacies of being creative in a multi-national company. During the prior summer, she held two internships at boutique companies in LA working for Michelle Phan at Ricebunny and in the creative department at Hatchbeauty. Her responsibilities include product development, photo and video production, graphic design, package design, backdrop design, industry research, and the production of blog posts.

Carly had spent her junior year second semester at University of the Arts London in Central Saint Martins where she studied fine arts and immersed herself in the culture.  Her work has been shown at an exhibition at Arebyte and an exhibition at Central Saint Martins. During weekends, Carly visited the world’s most meaningful artwork at museums in London and other European cities.
 
Carly is determined to have a career in which she accomplishes both business and personal goals using her creative and artistic skill and talent.
